People are dying, families are being wiped out, and businesses are closing down, all due to the terrible state of power supply in Nigeria.

About 40% of the population in Nigeria does not have access to electricity. One in every 10 people that do not have access to electricity now reside in Nigeria.

Nigeria being the largest economy in Africa has a low power supply compared to its peer country. Truth be told, the power sector in Nigeria is in shambles. Nigeria is home to over 200 million people, all of whom deserve to have good, stable, and reliable electricity. 

How long would we continue like this? How long are we going to sit down, fold our arms, and watch the power sector in Nigeria crumble? How long will businesses keep folding up because the amount used to run their generator is much more than the profit they make? How long?

As a team, we sat down and asked ourselves "what can we do to change the narrative?" "What can we do to improve the power sector in Nigeria?" "What necessary actions can we take to make electricity accessible, affordable, and available to all?"
